Two TLSs signed “J. H. Doolittle,” both one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, both addressed to J. David Spohn of the Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. The earlier letter, May 30, 1980, mentions his move to the Carmel Valley area and his admiration for Mutual of Omaha: "It is a truly fine organization and I have been very favorably impressed with all of the Mutual people”; the second letter, July 16, 1980, references his biography by Lowell Thomas and Ed Jablonski, which he has signed and forwarded along. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelopes.
