Expertly accomplished in gouache and airbrush on a 24.5 x 12.5 sheet of artist paper stamped "OK" and marked along the left border: "F9-1." Matted to an overall size of 24.5 x 16.5. In fine condition, with some wear to the mat. Fleischer's artwork has always been known for its extremely high quality, and this moody background piece with its rich Art Deco style is no exception. Unfortunately, Mr. Bug Goes to Town had the misfortune to premiere three days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor and failed to receive the recognition it merited, but this background still stands as a testament to its artistic brilliance.
