Edgar Mitchell’s blue flight suit that he personally owned and wore during the Apollo program. The zippered suit, size 40 regular, features numerous pockets, an official ‘meatball’ NASA patch on the left chest, and the right chest features a black Velcro female-loop pad designed to attach a name patch. The original Flite Wear by Land Mfg. Co. tag is sewn into the collar area. In fine condition.
Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity from Mitchell's daughter Karlyn, who states: "I hereby certify that this Apollo Era Blue flight suit is directly from Dr. Edgar Mitchell's collection. My father kept this flight suit after he retired from NASA in 1972. It remained in his possession for the rest of his life."
