Attractive gold-tone enameled "Entertainment" badge from the 1928 Republication National Convention held in Kansas City from June 12 to June 15, 1928. The badge is attached to a tricolor ribbon, and reads: "Entertainment, GOP," with suspended medallion below, "National Republican Convention, The Heart of America, Kansas City, 1928." In fine condition. After President Coolidge had unexpectedly announced that he would not run for re-election in 1928, Commerce Secretary Herbert Hoover became the natural front-runner for the Republican nomination; at the Convention, he was nominated on the first ballot with 837 votes.
