Official White House photographer Cecil W. Stoughton's personal photo album containing 24 original vintage color 8 x 10 photos of President John F. Kennedy's graveside funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery on November 25, 1963. The red calf leather photo album is stamped with decorative tooling on the front and back, with the spine stamped with Stoughton's initials, "CWS," and a title, "JFK Funeral, Nov. #3, 1963." Almost all are hand-inscribed on the reverse as part of Stoughton's unique numbering and filing system.
Documenting the conclusion of Kennedy's state funeral, Stoughton captured moving shots of the heavily veiled Jacqueline Kennedy as she mourned the loss of her husband, solemn images of Lyndon B. Johnson and other heads of state, the USAF bagpipe band, and the military honor guard that escorted the president's casket. In very good to fine condition, with two photos stuck to the album sleeves.
