John F. Kennedy's personally-owned sample of patterned fabric (No. 12516), measuring 3.25 x 1.5, sent at his request by Chipp of 14 East 44th Street. In fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of a letter of provenance from JFK's personal secretary Evelyn Lincoln to noted collector Robert L. White, stating that he ultimately chose material no. B2620 to have a shirt made. Originates from the Robert L. White collection.
