German-American businessman (1859-1955) who founded the processed-meat firm Oscar Mayer that bears his name. Personal check, 8.25 x 3, filled out in another hand and signed by Mayer, "Oscar F. Mayer," payable to Miss Anna Wolf for $35, November 19, 1931. In fine condition, with three vertical folds. Only a handful of Mayer's signed checks are known. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
