Description

Uncommon grouping of three staple-bound NASA booklets entitled “Apollo 15 Technical Crew Debriefing (U),” each 368 pages, 8 x 10.5, dated August 14, 1971, issued as “Group 4, Downgraded at 3-year intervals; declassified after 12 years.” The booklets contain post-landing statements made by Dave Scott, Al Worden, and Jim Irwin in regard to various aspects of the Apollo 15 mission. Each booklet contains 27 sections, which are titled as follows: “Suiting and Ingress,” “Status Checks and Countdown,” “Powered Flight,” “Earth Orbit and Systems Checkout,” “TLI Through S-IVB Closeout,” “Translunar Coast,” “LOI, DOI, and Lunar Module Checkout,” “Lunar Module Activation Through Separation,” “Separation Through LM Touchdown,” “Lunar Surface,” “CSM Circumlunar Operations,” “Liftoff, Rendezvous, and Docking,” “Lunar Module Jettison Through TEI,” “Transearth Coast,” “Entry,” “Landing and Recovery,” “Training,” “Command Module Systems Operations,” “Lunar Module Systems Operations,” “LRV Operations,” “EMU Systems,” “Flight Equipment,” “Flight Data File,” “Visual Sightings,” “Premission Planning,” “Mission Control,” and “Human Factors.” The inner pages and front and back covers to each booklet are all marked “Confidential.” In overall fine condition, with creasing to the corners of the last several dozen pages of one of the manuals.
