Two ALSs, both signed "O. W. Holmes," one page, 4.5 x 7, dated to Boston 1864 and 1893. The Civil War-dated letter, April 29, 1864, in full: "I will send you two or three volumes with autographs for the N. Iowa Sanitary Fair with much pleasure"; and the second, March 29, 1893, in full: "It is with much pleasure that I accept the title of Honorary Member of the Theatre of Arts and Letters which has been conferred upon me." The later letter is affixed to a slightly larger sheet. In overall fine condition, with small bits of tape to two corners of the earlier letter. Accompanied by an engraving and mount with a facsimile signature.
