Original unsigned press release, one page, 8.5 x 11, August 19, [1970]. Wartoke Concern press release for the opening of Electric Lady Studios, headed: "Hendrix Arrives to Launch His New Studio." In part: "New York super star Jimi Hendrix has arrived in New York from Hawaii in anticipation of the August 26 opening of his fabulous recording studio, Electric Lady. Electric Lady contains two studios, the larger of which has 36 tracks and is acoustically divided into a live and dead side of the room. Other facilities of the studio are colored lights which can change to virtually any mood, a moog synthesizer and a plush decor which is consistent with the Hendrix image…Although in its infancy, Electric Lady has already been used by several artists including Buzz Linhart, Elliott Randall, Irene Reid, Glory River, Hendrix himself and Led Zeppelin, who mixed their latest LP there."
