Original deluxe publisher's binding of maroon straight-grain morocco, covers blocked in gold with a large ornate border plaque and center medallion, each cover with 12 orange and green morocco onlays surrounding a red morocco onlay stamped in gilt, 7.5 x 10, 71 pages. The book is complete with its ten vivid color plates plus title vignette. Book condition: G+/None, with rubbing and scuffing to boards, hinges cracked with crude tape repairs to gutters, and general wear. Baxter developed an early process for richly and accurately reproducing paintings as prints, demonstrated in this deluxe volume.
