Ornate ribbon-bound 9.75 x 6.75 program for the inaugural ball of President William McKinley and Vice President Garret Hobart, held at the Pension Office on March 4, 1897, containing three engraved plates on heavy cardstock boards, separated by tissue: one featuring jugate portraits of McKinley and Hobart; one listing the members of the event's executive committee; and the last representing Ohio and New Jersey, the home states of McKinley and Hobart. Also included is a smaller, multipage booklet bound with red twine and listing Committee Members, the Dance Arrangement, and Menu, for the Ball itself. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original envelope.
