Official 'Type 1' first generation color glossy 10 x 8 red-numbered NASA photo of planet Earth as viewed from the Gemini 9 spacecraft. The strait between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman can be viewed directly above the antenna in this photo, which was taken from an altitude of about 300 miles. Near the horizon the folded mountain systems forming the Zagros-Makran Ranges of Iran and West Pakistan can be seen, as well as the great depression containing the Baluchistan Desert, Siah Reg, of northern Pakistan and southern Afghanistan. Beyond the Arabian Sea, India is faintly visible at the far right. The photo, identified as "S-66-54669," features caption text and "A Kodak Paper" watermarks to reverse. In fine condition, with a speck of emulsion loss to right margin. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
