Interesting collection of 12 embroidered patches for Apollo missions 1, 9-17, and the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project (2), each 3″ or 4″ in diameter. The patches are comprised mostly of regular souvenir examples, some modern, with the following variants of note: the Apollo 13 patch is the sought-after ‘dark horse’ version of the AB emblem patch; the Apollo 16 patch is a Space Spinoff version on purple cloth, which is very atypical; and the Apollo 17 patch is another uncommon Space Spinoff version. Also included is a 5.5″ x 5.75″ swatch of Beta cloth bearing the Apollo-Soyuz insignia. In overall fine condition. From the collection of Tim Furniss, Flight International magazine’s spaceflight correspondent from 1984 to 2006, and author of over 35 published books on space history.
