Highly decorated United States Army officer (1909-1993) who fought in World War II and the Korean War, remembered as the target for an assassination attempt by Lee Harvey Oswald in April 1961. Two items: a vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Walker in uniform, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Ken, My admiration and best wishes, Edwin A. Walker"; and a standard thank-you card, 5.5 x 4.25, June 1, 1961, signed in fountain pen, "My sincere thanks, Edwin A. Walker." In overall very good to fine condition, with the photo showing scattered light creasing, staple holes, surface impressions from typed notation on the back, and a heavier diagonal crease passing above Walker's hands. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the card.
