African-American fighter pilot (born 1919) who was one of the Tuskegee Airmen and a career officer in the United States Air Force for 30 years; he flew a total of 409 combat missions in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Four glossy photos of famed Tuskegee airman Charles McGee, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, each signed in thin black felt tip, “Charles E. McGee,” who adds various dates and designations to his autograph. Images include: McGee wearing his uniform; McGee standing next to 'Kitten,' his P-51B 42-103968, nicknamed after his wife; an image of a Robert Bailey painting entitled 'Tuskegee Junction’; and McGee standing with his crew chief Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Wilson. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a Mississippi Armed Forces Museum pamphlet honoring McGee, who has signed in thin black felt tip and made a couple edits to the text.
