Top and bottom plates designed for the Block II Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC), both made of a lightweight alloy (likely magnesium) and featuring gridded honeycomb patterns. The top plate measures 21.75″ x 12.5″ x .5″, and the bottom plate measures 24.25″ x 12.5″ x .25″. Both cover plates retain their inherent rubber gaskets, designed to hermetically seal the computer's components inside. This may be a prototype or test design, as the flown configuration of the AGC used plates with X-shaped patterns. In fine condition. From the Don Eyles Apollo Computer Collection.
