Uncommon Republic of Texas 100 dollar 'redback' note, 7.5 x 3.25, No. 3501, dated July 18, 1839, signed along the bottom by James H. Starr and Mirabeau B. Lamar. The note features engraved images of a locomotive to left side, a seated Minverva, with a winged creature to her right, shown receiving money from the gods to center, and a sailing ship on choppy waters to right side. In very good to fine condition, with staining, edge wear, and expected cancellation cuts. Encapsulated in a PCGS plastic sleeve, grading the note as "Fine 12."
