Incredible glossy 10 x 8 photo of President Kennedy with Heisman Trophy winner Ernie Davis and two other members of the Syracuse University football team at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City on December 6, 1961. In fine condition. As a halfback on the Syracuse Orange football team, Davis became the first African-American athlete to be awarded the Heisman Trophy. Tragically, both Kennedy and Davis would pass within two years of having met each other; Davis died at the age of 23 from acute monocytic leukemia, just six months before Kennedy was assassinated at the age of 46.
