(American International, 1960) Original color 14 x 36 insert movie poster for the American International release of the 1960 horror film House of Usher, which was directed by Roger Corman, starred Vincent Price, Myrna Fahey, and Mark Damon, and was written by Richard Matheson from the short story 'The Fall of the House of Usher' by Edgar Allan Poe. The poster shows three men descending into a crypt and carrying a coffin, with its horrified occupant pictured below, and the title logo in bold green and yellow lettering: "Edgar Allen Poe's classic tale of the ungodly…the evil House of Usher." A quote from Poe in white text reads: "'I heard her first feeble movements in the coffin…we had put her living in the tomb." Lower portion features cast images and production credits, with bottom border bearing an NSS caption line and numbered "60/224." In very good, folded condition, with corner staple holes, overall creasing, and a couple of extra horizontal folds.
