(American International, 1979) Original color 27 x 41 one sheet movie poster for the American International release of George Miller's dystopian action film Mad Max, which starred Mel Gibson in the title role. The poster features brilliant artwork by Bill Garland of a man wearing a black leather police uniform against a background with police car, burning buildings, and a man and motorbike lying on the ground. Bold text to upper portion reads: "The Maximum Force of the Future." Lower border features a National Screen Service Corporation caption block with lower right numbered "80029, 'Mad Max.'" In very good to fine, folded condition, with light overall rippling.
