Description

Original artwork by William Zivic showing an Apache warrior wielding a shotgun on horseback from the opening of The High Chaparral, accomplished in pen-and-ink and watercolor on a light brown 11.5 x 8.5 sheet, signed and dated in the lower right corner, "W. T. Zivic, '71.'" The reverse is annotated in another hand with the artist, date, and title, "Wm. T. Zivic, Tucson, Ariz, Mar. 1971, 'Mescalero.'" Handsomely cloth-matted and framed to an overall size of 20 x 17. In fine condition, with a semicircular stain to the lower portion of the mat. Accompanied by a framed color 16 x 12 print of a Western coach chase scene by Vic Donahue. Born in 1930, William Zivic is known for his paintings that capture the land and people of the American West. Robert Shelton's Old Tucson Studios Collection
