Original light green 5.5 x 8.5 handbill for "Happening #5," a concert headlined by Big Brother and the Holding Company at the Community Concourse Dance in San Diego on February 10, 1968, with supporting act listed as The Genetic Dryft and the lights handled by Mirkwood. Designed by the artist Kay, the handbill features three repeated psychedelic images of Janis Joplin and band. The "Happening" concert series was produced by the James C. Pagni Company, with Pagni serving as the preeminent San Diego concert promoter at the time. In fine condition, with a small area of surface loss to the center.
