Fantastic original pencil concept sketches of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck on an off-white 18 x 12 sheet, signed in the lower right corner in pencil by Frank Follmer. The sketches show each iconic Disney character in two different poses. In very good to fine condition, with uniform toning and scattered staining to the left side.
Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia. He alienated Walt Disney when he organized a strike against the studio, and ultimately left to join the Navy.
