Two items: a TLS, signed "Your sincere friend, Hussein," one page, 6.75 x 9, embossed crown letterhead, April 27, 1974, addressed to "Kenneth," in full: "I would like to thank you for the most beautiful piece of armament, the pistol, which you kindly sent me. I shall always remember your kind thoughtfulness and this lovely gift shall always be treasured by me. Again, please accept my thanks and appreciation"; and a matte-finish 6.75 x 9 portrait of King Hussein in a tranquil close-up pose, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen, "To our friend Kenneth Crawford, with best wishes, Hussein, 27.4.1974." Matted to an overall size of 19.5 x 14.5. In overall fine condition, with a few small spots to the letter.
