Elizabeth Mary Landreaux (1895-1963) known by the stage name Lizzie Miles, was a popular Creole blues singer. ALS penned on the inside of a 4.75 x 5.75 Christmas card, postmarked December 21, 1954. Letter to Jimmy Bearden and his son, in part (spelling and grammar retained): "Thanks for nice X mas card. Glad you like my album and is letting every one hear it. I made an other Monday hope it comes out god. Mr. Davilla read card and smiled guess he will tell 340 Bourbon St. We had a very nice week end the weather is fine nice and cold like I like…You should try to pick up our program on W. W. L. 9 to 930 every Sun nite. Well have a nice holiday and drop us a card now and then." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Miles's own hand, and a copy of the A Night in Old New Orleans album, with the record included.
