Collection of seven medallions commemorating significant achievements in flight and aerospace, including: a bronze 1927 commemorative medal honoring Charles Lindbergh's solo flight from New York to Paris, 2.75″ in diameter, designed by Charles Hinton and struck by the Medallic Art Company; a dark-tone commemorative medal honoring the 1961 space achievements of Vostok cosmonauts Yuri Gagarin and Gherman Titov, 3″ in diameter, with raised design of rocket and Cyrillic text along rim; a bronze 'Space Age Commemorative Medal' issued as the official medal of the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, measuring 1.25″ in diameter, attached to original paper folder; a silver-tone commemorative coin honoring the Apollo 8 mission, 1.5″ in diameter, with reverse stating that the "Apollo 8 crew carried metal in this medallion on man's first flight to the moon"; a handsome bronze medallion honoring Apollo 11 and Robert Goddard, measuring 2.5″ in diameter, designed by Paul Calle and Joseph DiLorenzo, struck by the Medallic Art Company; a mini-coin presented to members of the Franklin Mint Collectors Society, .5″ in diameter, featuring a moon on the front and raised text on the reverse: "This mini-coin is made from a special melt containing silver that was carried to the moon on the flight of Apollo 14"; and a bronze key-ring medallion honoring Igor Sikorsky, measuring 1.5″ in diameter.
