The second, in part: "You are quite right in hoping that I found that second Alaska trip of mine worth while…My thanks to you for the prints. I had forgotten that you took them and I am delighted to have them, particularly the little owlish Eskimo child with the spectacles and the doll." The third, to the entertainment editor of Seventeen magazine, in part: "It is pleasant to know that you thought of me in connection with the monthly feature which is meant to be a sort of informal talk by an adult and liberal writer to the young readers of your magazine…I am sorry to say that I cannot."
