Amazing original color 27.5 x 19.5 poster displayed for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows, depicting a massive, enraged gorilla holding a helpless tribesman over his head, with large bold red and blue text reading: "The Largest Gorilla Ever Exhibited—The World's Most Terrifying Living Creature! Gargantua the Great!" Published by the Strobridge Litho. Co. of Cincinnati and New York, circa 1938. Framed and in fine condition, with expected tack holes to corners. Consignor notes that the poster originates from the personal collection of Doug Morris, a former lighting director for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus shows.
