A 7.25 x 9.5 publicity portrait of Mary Astor, signed and inscribed in black fountain pen, “To Mr. and Mrs. Albert Chestnut, sincerely, Mary Astor.” Slightly trimmed and in fine condition.
A 10.75 x 13.75 half-length portrait of Alice Brady leaning over the back of a cushioned chair, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “For Tommy—love and thanks, Alice.” In very good condition, with spots of discoloration and two corner bends and edge tears. Brady (1892-1939) was a silent and sound film star who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress two years before her death from cancer.
A 10 x 13 photo of Janet Gaynor seated, signed and inscribed in fountain pen against the light background, “To R. E. Maury, With best wishes, from Janet Gaynor.” Cloth-matted and framed to an overall size of 16.5 x 19.5. In fine condition.
