Three original ballpoint sketches and various small drawings made by Michael Jackson on a yellow 8.5 x 13 sheet of legal paper. The two largest sketches appear to be over-exaggerated self-portrait caricatures, with a third smaller sketch depicting either a bald woman or child. Both the larger sketches are initialed, “M. J.,” and dated to 1985. Sheet also features a small mountainous highway drawing, several handwritten notes, a phone number, and the name of filmmaker George Lucas. Reverse bears an unsigned sketch of a similar caricature style, with this example portraying Jackson with a pompadour haircut. In very good to fine condition, with scattered creases, a couple of small tears, and a piece of tape over phone number. A fascinating assemblage of original Jackson artwork that potentially offers unique insight into the artist’s thoughts on his own physical appearance.
