Glossy 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo of Grant, signed and inscribed in black ink, "To Mary and John De Sant, Cordially, Cary Grant, 1968.” Reverse bears an affixed caption: "Mr. Cary Grant thought you might be pleased to receive this personally signed photograph: it comes to you with sincere appreciation of your kind message during his recent hospitalization." In fine condition, with a few surface impressions and pin holes to upper left border, which could be easily matted out. On March 12, 1968, Grant was involved in a car accident on Long Island when a truck struck the side of his limousine. He was hospitalized for 17 days with three broken ribs.
