Uncommon collection of six press releases from the Office of the White House Press Secretary, fifteen total pages, ranging in size from 8.5 x 14 to 8.5 x 11, dated between May 23, 1962, and November 18, 1963, just four days before Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas. Release subjects include (in chronological order): a letter concerning the removal of an expense limitation in the case of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, and a refrain from establishing a similar limitation in the appropriations to the Department of Defense; remarks of the President and the Attorney General at the Young American Medals ceremony; remarks of the President at the opening ceremony of the World Food Congress; remarks of the President to a group of Fulbright-Hayes exchange teachers; remarks from the President upon his departure from the Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts; and remarks of the President upon his arrival at the Miami International Airport. Two days previous on November 16th, President Kennedy traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida, where he visited Pad B at Complex 37 and was briefed by Wernher Von Braun on the Saturn rocket booster. In overall fine condition, with some tears to upper portion of November 18th release.
