Guest book from the East Hampton, Long Island home of stage actor John Drew, Jr., and his wife Josephine, 15.5 x 11, signed on the first fifteen pages by a total of more than 125 visitors. Among these are: Lionel Barrymore and his wife Doris, Ethel Barrymore, Billie Burke, Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr., Hedda Hopper, author P. G. Wodehouse, photojournalist Frances Benjamin Johnston, artist Percy Moran, art museum founder Samuel L. Parrish, DeWolf Hopper, William Farnum, and Jessie Royce Landis. A few unidentified sketches are also drawn throughout; the majority of the pages in the thick guest book are blank. In fine condition. The owner of the book, John Drew, Jr., was the uncle of John Barrymore, Lionel Barrymore, and Ethel Barrymore, as well as the great-great-uncle of actress Drew Barrymore; it was his side of the family after whom she was named.
