Pair of elaborate Bohemian style tapestries used by Prince in his Parisian apartment in the late 1980s, including: a large colorful silk cover, approximately 35 x 56, with patterns of blue, red, and green, and various embroidered beads; and a light blue and pale gold table runner, approximately 20 x 61, with intricate patterns and fringed ends. In the late 1980s, Prince wanted his bedroom decorated in such a style, covering furniture with different fabrics or draping or hanging them from the ceiling. The larger piece was used to cover a low television stand, and the smaller piece was on the top of a long narrow table where fashion magazines and flowers bouquets were displayed. In overall fine condition, with some missing beads, and a couple stains to runner. From the collection of Prince’s Parisian assistant Sophie Roux. ccompanied by a letter of provenance from Sophie Roux.
