Unopened piece of mail advertising a TDK/Billboard songwriting contest, 9 x 6, addressed to "Prince R. Nelson, Box 364, Chanhassen MN 55317." The envelope reads, "If you write songs, read how you could win $25,000.00--and a professional recording contract." In very good to fine condition, with some handling wear. From the collection of Prince’s assistant Therese Stoulil, who writes, "Prince had a personal PO box where his magazines and personal mail were delivered. The housekeeper had picked up the mail and put it on his kitchen table. Later that day when he came into work he handed this to me with a sly smile and said 'Tell Billboard-I've got this covered.'" Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Therese Stoulil.
