Rock band that formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1979. The quartet first played punk, but are now considered pioneers of alternative rock. Very early and rare yellow 11 x 17 poster for a concert by The Replacements at the Big Beat in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on August 12, 1983, showing an image of the band, four newspaper snippets, and listing the 3-D Invisibles as the supporting act. In fine condition. This show came during the band's first national tour, during which they traveled in a beat up van with a single roadie. The Big Beat was a dive above a German restaurant on the outskirts of Ann Arbor, shaped like a bowling alley with one tiny stage at the end. An unusual piece from the earliest days of The Replacements.
