Two items related to different inaugural balls held in Buchanan’s honor: a colorful “Ladies’ Ticket” for the “Grand Inauguration Ball to be given by the 12th Ward Democratic Association of Philadelphia” in Washington on the evening of March 3, 1857, 4.75 x 3, including its original envelope; and a 3.75 x 5.5 invitation to the “Inauguration Ball” to be held at the Aeolian Hall in Bethel, New York, on March 4, 1857. In overall very good to fine condition.
