Scallop-topped vellum manuscript document in Old English, issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I [not signed by her], one page, 25 x 19.75, April 29, 1592. In part: “This Indenture Made the Nyne and Twenteh day of Apirll Anno Dm 1592 in the ffower and…th year of the reigne of our sovereigne Ladie Elizabeth by the grace of God Quene of England, France and Ireland Defender of the faithe…Betwene John Sheft the Yonger…and Roberte Godfreye.” Signed at the conclusion along the bottom fold by the two involved parties. Lower edge bears the attached ribbons and red wax seals. In fine condition.
