Large portion of faux wall structure from the classic 1972 film The Godfather. Constructed of plywood, foam insulation, and layered with Muralo paint to portray stone texture, this gate section approximately measures 35 x 36.5 x 14.5, and served as an outside corner segment, one of many faux wall pieces designed to enlarge the property grounds of the sprawling Corleone mall. The extensive fabricated faux wall built to surround the Corleone compound can be viewed in three significant scenes: the opening wedding celebration, the transition of power between Michael and Vito, and the Don’s death in the garden. In very good to fine condition. Oversized. Originates from the estate of the Norton family, whose Staten Island mansion, over the course of a year, was famously used by Francis Ford Coppola and crew to film The Godfather. Augmented by its strong provenance, this is a wonderfully detailed and historic piece of craftsmanship designed specifically for the landmark film. Please contact RR Auction for a shipping quote.
