A metal 12 x 18 street sign used in Washington, DC, on the day of JFK’s inauguration, reading, “Presidential Inauguration, No Parking, Midnight, January 19, to Midnight, January 20, 1961.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance, in part: “As a college student at the University of Maryland in 1961, I went to President John F. Kennedy’s inauguration parade…As we started back to College Park, MD. I noticed a metal red, white and blue ‘No Parking, Presidential Inauguration’ sign dangling sideways on a metal wire attached to a telephone pole not far from the White House…I shoved it under my overcoat and took it back to my campus college room as a souvenir.”
