Famous for his blues harmonica playing (1930–1968), he was the first and only musician to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for harmonica. While taking a break during a performance in the South Side of Chicago, he was involved in a fight and would eventually succumb to his injuries the next day.
