Letter to “Miss Johns,” in part: “I deeply appreciate your kind invitation and I am sorry I cannot promise to attend the 1950 Conference. In June, I very probably will be in Geneva, Switzerland for a meeting of the Human Rights Commission and therefore I can make no engagements.” Letter is affixed to a slightly larger off-white sheet and framed to an overall size of 6.5 x 8.5.
