Scottish bacteriologist (1881–1955) who shared the 1945 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his role in the discovery and isolation of penicillin. Vintage fountain pen signature, “Alexander Fleming, 15/5/53,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.5 page. In fine condition, with a light stain just below his first name. Accompanied by a vintage fountain pen signature from his wife, “Amalia Fleming,” on an off-white 4.5 x 2.5 page; the two had just gotten married on April 9, 1953. RR Auction COA.
