On the half-title page Gropper has added a sketch of intertwined figures in totem pole fashion and signed and inscribed, “‘A Column of People’ to Leonard Lyons, with warm greetings from Gropper 1968.” Small separation to front hinge, and scattered light wear, chipping, and creasing to dust jacket, otherwise fine condition.
