Flown printed fabric American flag, 5.5 x 4, flown aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia during its inaugural flight on April 12–14, 1981. Flag is affixed to an 8.25 x 11 certificate stating “Presented to Christine H. Boyle…It is presented to you in recognition of the significant contribution you made to the success of the mission.” Certificate also bears printed signatures of shuttle astronauts John Young and Bob Crippen.
