I have heard years ago of the bookstore & its many distinguished visitors; & thank you for the thoughtful kindness which impelled you to write me the letter which I wholly appreciate. I never fancied Sarony’s pictures of me, preferring Brady’s & others; but I am now glad that that sitting has been the means of bringing me your valued letter.” In fine condition, with mild soiling to lower left.
