TLS signed “Robert T. Lincoln,” one page, 7.25 x 9, Pullman Building, Chicago letterhead, November 3, 1903. Letter to the Pach Brothers. In part: “I…am very much obliged for your kindness in sending the handsome photograph of President Roosevelt and his family, which I am glad to have. In regard to a photograph of myself, I am going to be frank with you and say that I am very desirous to continue the avoidance of finding myself included among the frequently published photographs in the daily papers of the country, which is a sort of publicity I dislike very much. I have not the slightest need of a photograph for circulation among friends.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, trimmed bottom edge, light pencil notation to lower left, and show-through from mounting remnants on reverse.
