Hungarian conductor (1850–1898) who conducted the premiere performance of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9, and is especially associated with Wagner’s operas. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo by Falk of New York, signed at the top of the image in black ink with a two-bar AMQS. In very good condition, with scattered foxing to the image, adhesive remnants and soiling to the borders, and slight silvering to dark areas of the image. RR Auction COA.
