Original brown leatherbound metal latch photo album, 10 x 12.5, filled with approximately 70 original Victorian cabinet cards and cartes-de-visite of Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, and their immediate family. Victoria is pictured in 50 of the included images. Photographers include: Hughes and Mullins, Alex Bassano, Russell and Sons, Southwell, W. and D. Downey, and Mayall. The album has special pages so that the photographs are not glue or taped in, and can be easily removed. A couple of cartes-de-visite are hand colored. The album is intact but has general wear. The cabinets and cartes-de-visite have nice images, great poses, and general wear and rate overall very good to fine, with some collector’s notations on the reverse.
